Community Clean Up: Downtown San Mateo and San Mateo Adult School

On Saturday, April 12th, San Mateo Adult School students and staff joined the Downtown San Mateo Clean Up

Our school community pitched in to help our city community be cleaner and more beautiful.

About 60 students and teachers from Morning, Afternoon and Evening programs came.

Some went directly to Central Park.  Some met at the Adult School and walked together to the park.

We all came together - students and staff from the morning and evening programs.

We wore our red t-shirts and Adult Education Matters buttons.

Everyone signed in, got a bright green t-shirt, joined a team, and got an assignment.

Everyone worked together to make Downtown San Mateo cleaner and more beautiful.

And then we enjoyed a barbeque together - hamburgers and hotdogs, chips and soda.

Together, as a community, we worked together, we ate together, we made things better together.
