Celebrating Adult Education Week 2016

This is how we did it!

Monday:  New Banner for Poplar Avenue

Morning ESL Students created this beautiful new banner.

Tuesday:  CCAE Leg Day.  Student Council Leaders went to Sacramento to talk with the Legislature.  Read Denise's story about the day here.

Tuesday Evening:  Spelling Bee.

Thursday:  New!  Open House!  We had our first ever Open House so students could show off their school to their friends and family.  Students visited classrooms, toured the School Garden, had fun making art, and then went over to the SMART Center for snacks, a photo booth, and the Award Ceremony.

Thursday Evening:  Award Ceremony for Evening Students.  The winners read their essays.  Essay and Spelling Bee winners were honored with prizes.
