The purpose of CCAE Leg Day is to talk to Legislators about Adult Education.  CCAE is the California Council for Adult Education.  Spring is the time when Legislators think about the budget for the next fiscal year.  This is the time to talk to them about funding for Adult Education.

Denise Carrasco, Morning Student Council President, gives us this report about the day:

I would like to thank all the students who gave us the opportunity to be their voice as stundent council members; it has been a great experience to us.

Last Tuesday, we went to Sacramento to talk with assembly members about the importance of adult education. We shared with them our own experiences, also we spoke in your behalf by sharing your needs in order to secure funding for the school. Experiences like this brings to us assurance that we are learning at school. It was a pleasure been part of this experience were I can pay back what school has given me! Remember, it is not what the school can do for you, but it is what you can do for the school.

Also, I would like to thank Cynthia Eaglenton for taken the trip with us, and Eric Saavedra for been there to intoduce us. Thanks, San Mateo Adult School!!
