The name of our special group is ACCEL.
The purpose of the group is to provide Adult Education to the County of San Mateo.
To provide the best Adult Education, we need to know what students want and need.
To find out what students want and need, we are asking students to complete a survey.
Teachers Patricia and Lisa They are leaders in ACCEL |
Teacher Lisa is the leader for this student survey project.
She is organizing everything.
Last week, evening ESL students completed this survey.
Next week, on Tuesday, June 17th, morning ESL students will complete the survey.
Teacher David with student leaders Marco, Marina, and Maricruz |
In both evening and morning, student leaders are helping.
Students are helping with Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, and other languages.
They are translating, explaining, and supporting students so they can understand and answer the questions.
Not every consortium or every school is doing this.
Our school is very special in this way. Our school is working hard to include students in the plans for the new Regional Consortium system for Adult Education. We hope other schools will do this also.
A big thank you to all the student leaders who are helping, to Teacher Lisa for her leadership, to SMAS Leaders Mr. T and Tim for their support, and to all the students who complete the survey!
Here is the student survey:
