On Tuesday, September 30th, San Mateo Adult School students wrote many letters to the governor asking for dedicated funding for Adult Schools.

They told the Governor their stories.

They explained that Adult Education matters.

They said that Adult Schools need their own wallet.

Red Letter Day was a big success.  Students from ESL classes in the day and the evening, at the Foster City Campus, and the High School Diploma program all wrote letters - and more are coming!

So far we have sent over 650 letters.

Have you written a letter?

It is not too late.

You can click here to get more information on how to write a letter.

You can also ask any teacher for help.

We are not the only school who wrote letters and wore red.

Students at Adult Schools in Los Angeles, Torrance, and Oxnard wrote letters, too.

Together we are all sending the same message to Governor Brown:

Adult Education matters!

Adult Schools need Dedicated Funding!

With stable funding, Adult Education can bring a good future to California!
