The young students came from Shenyang, China to California to learn more about schools. They want to go to school in the United States in the future. They are between 10 and 13 years old. They came with their principal and teacher.
They visited schools, including Mercy High School, Serra High School, Stanford University, UCLA, and San Mateo Adult School. They also visited the Waste Management Recyling Center, Costco, and Disneyland.
The Job Search Class students, Mr. T, Teacher Jay, and Greg gave the students a tour of our school.
They talked to the students about the importance of being a volunteer. They explained that volunteering can help you learn about a new culture, meet people, make friends, find a job, and learn and improve your English.
