Tim Doyle Wins Award

ACSA (Association of California School Administrators) Region 5 will recognize Tim Doyle, Assistant Director of the Adult School, as the Administrator of the Year for 2011. Tim is a career adult educator with over 22 years total at the Adult School where he served as an exemplary teacher and program lead, prior to his appointment as an Assistant Director in 2005.

Tim represents Region 5, San Mateo and San Francisco Counties, on the ACSA state Adult Education Council and represents San Mateo County Adult Educators as an appointed member of the San Mateo County Workforce Investment Board. Tim has enhanced the Adult Schools‟ connectivity to the professional colleagues and the excellent reputation through service as a WASC Visiting Committee Chair and his connection with the PLC network. Tim has rapidly become one of the state’s leading adult educators; someone to whom others outside the District seek regular counsel.

Tim has a quiet, unassuming leadership style that makes him effective in dealing with a variety of people. All 120+ faculty and staff describe Tim as principled and fair. His passion for his work and his dedication to the Adult School is most evident to all.

Tim has put his love for good teaching and learning and his genuine concern for students to work in the development of the PLCs. As a result, every year the quality of the Adult School’s instructional program has improved. Tim is a valued member of the SMUHSD leadership team.
