Don't Collect Fossils!

Do you know what a fossil is?

A fossil is something that was alive a long, long, long, long, long, long, long time ago - a plant or an animal. Now it is hard like a rock.

Do you know what a fossilized mistake is?

It is a mistake that you have made many, many, many, many, many, many times.

It is the wrong English and you say it wrong over and over and over and over and over.

It is hard to change and it is hard like a rock.

How can you change that?

How can you stop saying the wrong English over and over and over and over and over.

Teacher Cynthia is looking for ideas on how to do this. If you have an idea for her, please tell her or tell your teacher.

Changing fossilized mistakes is hard! Everyone - students AND teachers - needs and wants ideas on how to change them.

If YOU have an idea, please share it here in the comments section or tell Teacher Cynthia or your teacher.

You can email Teacher Cynthia your ideas at cyn.eagleton@gmail.com or you can leave a note for her in Room 28 Distance Learning.

English, like every language is always growing and changing. Language is like water. Language is not like a rock. The best students and teachers are flexible. They can use new ideas to grow and improve. If you have an idea for growing and improving your English, share it with your teacher!
