Account Update -- Balance is more than $10,000 in our account.
Halloween spending came in under (less than) budget - #180 for 80 pumpkins. (kudos to Luis Santiago!)
New Business:
- School Garden - The Adult School is spending more than $3,000 in Adult School money for the new fenced garden outside the classrooms, and is asking the Student Governmenet additionaly for:
A) "No more than $500" for gardening tools and supplies, seeds and plants, and a storage shed.
B) "No more than $500" for wood chips to finish covering the garden area.
APPROVED - "No more than $700" total for gardening tools and supplies, seeds, plants, a storage shed and wood chips.
(PM - 9:3 vote; AM - 11:0 vote) - Thanksgiving festivities
APPROVED - "No more than $1,200" ($150 more than last year) for turkeys for Thanksgiving parties on Wednesday, Nov.26. - Student representatives for computer/technology committee Teacher/tech advisor James Wu need two students for technology advisory committee. First meeting is Friday, Nov.14, 12-1pm., Rm.29.
Any volunteers should contact Fred Thompson or James Wu. - Future projects:
* December: Cookbook sale (for $5) as holiday gifts.
* AM -- Trees/benches outside classrooms.
* PM -- Bake sale to raise money for school. - REMINDER to everyone - Please clean up food/drinks in classrooms, especially after parties, to control ants and mice! Students can also bring recycling bags to parties, recycle, and make money!
