Student Council gives students a voice.
There are two Student Councils - Day and Evening.
Every month, the Student Council meets to discuss activities, concerns, and ideas.
The meetings are led by the Student Council officers. They are elected at the beginning of the year.
Each class sends two representatives to the meetings. They vote on decisions. After the meeting, they return to their classroom and tell the students about the meeting and decisions.
Here are the new Student Council officers for the 2015-16 school year.

Not every Adult School has a Student Council.
SMAS has special power because the students have special power. They can share their opinions, talk about their ideas, and create events and activities through the Student Council.
Student Voice matters!
